Crawford Contractor Connection Convention

Say that five times fast.

Two weeks ago, five members of our Menold team were privileged to attend the Crawford Contractor Connection Convention in Dallas, Texas. The Convention was held at the Gaylord Texan - a large hotel with many replicas of the state of Texas inside the dome, and a large conference area as well. Our CEO, Jeff Neihouser, as well as Shane Cunningham, Jon Stapel, Phil Reese, and Travis Cunningham were there for three days, learning how to provide a higher value experience for the insured policy holder after they have a loss.

This year's program was centered around the theme RESTORE. Their mission is to restore and enhance lives, businesses, and communities, and they attempt to restore a sense of normalcy to property owners at the most dire of times. The Connection Convention continues a 20-plus year tradition of being the premier insurance restoration industry event of the year. They provide excellent educational, training, and networking opportunities for every company that attends. The Connection Convention has put together a network of top-rated contractors to complete repairs through their program, and in attendance, there were over 2000 representatives from restoration contractors all over the United States as well as Canada. Our five team members were able to listen to changes that the program had, as well as get feedback on how the network was performing. The Convention also had a trade show with all the leading vendors in the industry, and our five guys soaked up some technology knowledge! The Convention schedule was packed with many key-note speakers, workshops, expos, and a lot of food. Jeff, Shane, Jon, Phil, and Travis were also able to enjoy some down time at some of the local restaurants.


Most importantly, the men walked away with some newfound relationships with other restoration contractors! The Convention provides plenty of opportunities to network with other contractors, and our team members took every opportunity possible. One night they were able to have dinner with several fellow members of Restoration Affiliates, another organization where we belong, and they had some great food and great conversation. We look forward to next years convention, and in the meantime, we are excited to bring our new knowledge home and apply it to better customer service in our own communities!
