Roads were closed at Adams and Liberty Street in Peoria on October 22, after a water main broke and collapsed the road. The road was closed for some time, but more than that, nearby buildings suffered immense water damage.
Menold received a phone call afterhours on a Thursday evening requesting emergency response. It took the City of Peoria several hours to get the water shut off. Because of the severity of the break, they were afraid of a major collapse by releasing all pressure at once. The water flowed down side streets and into the side of the lower half of the building, leaving about 4 inches of standing water in every room.
